list of use full mission running skills...sort of..

Ok a freind of mine (mail lite @ http://thebeginningsofpiracy.blogspot.com) has sugested i add some skills and sites that be use ful to mission runners.. and i think he is right , should have really added this in but hell i was suposed to be working lol! so here goes..

you should ve aiming for ASAP:

Cruiser to IV
Frigate IV
Your chosen tool of destruction IV
Connections III
Diplomacy III
Mil connections III
Salvager III

depending on race..

all sheild skills to IV ( for example modulation and calibration) to allow you to use good extenders and sheildd hardners..then train sheild rigs..get those purgers!!

armor tanks: repair systems to IV, hull upgrades IV, and all calibration skills (i.e EM armor calibration) to III

these skills wont realy come in to play until late in then lvl 2 missions or Lvl 3's but learning them early will make a Big difference!!

also some handy sites for mission runners are :
www.Eve-Agents.com - used to search for agents
www.eve-survival.com - used to look up specific mission details
www.battleclinic.com - look up ship fittings
www.wiki.eveonline.com - general info all things eve.

Also, as Mail noticed i hadnt mentioned it, in later missions you need to tank for a specific damage type..look up what the enemy will be using on eve survival, if they are using EM and thermal for example, make sure you are fitted to resist those damage types..it is unlikely you will be able to tank ALL damage types all the time do you may need to change mods depending on the missions you have...if i think of anything else or anyone else has any sugestions please let me know.

  1. Ok being a bit of a git here...

If your going for using a turret based ship (Gallente/Amarr) then you will need to make sure you don't just get the skill for that gun to level 4, you need to think about your gunnery support skills, makes you hit harder, quicker and more acuratly.

Same goes for missiles. It's fine to be able to lob missiles at thing but getting your missile support skills up means you will lob them further, and do more damage.

All the support skills to a minimum of level 3 is a basic must. As are supoport skills to atleast level 4. No point getting that shiney cruiser and then not being able to fit it to a good enough standard.

this is a PVP skill guide I put together for my alliance. With a little tweaking it would make a good PVE skill set up.

Hope you don't mind me butting in again =P

  2. EDIT: All the chosen weapon support skills to a minimum of level 3 is a basic must.

Drones work the same as missiles and turrets, get you drone support skills to level 3 as well if you use drones (which you will in later missions... alot!)

General supoport skills to atleast level 4 is also a must.

No point getting that shiney cruiser and then not being able to fit it to a good enough standard.

  3. firstly lol @ frigate VI :P

Secondly, if you have a wealthy benefactor I would actually recommending simply chosing a BS from day one and train to be able to fly that, then get yourself a decent cap stable tank fit (will be a lot of sp lost doing this or a lot of isk) and lastly move onto your gunnery skills so you can tackle lvl 4 missions and make isk.

As for tanking for specific races, if you are really looking at becoming a mission behemoth I would suggest just slapping a couple of caldari invul fields on a vargur or golem and saving yourself the time/isk of refitting.

@ mr anon - lmao you have missed the point of a guide for beginers to get started with mission running, how menu noobs can jump in a battle ship? It's lke saying " sod it if you wanna run them really well just grab your T3 cruiser"
if your at that level you don't need tips from me lol.
